2010 CALL FOR ENTRIES

The DALLAS International Film Festival is now accepting entries.

All submissions must be POSTMARKED by December 11, 2009 to be eligible for DALLAS IFF 2010.

Any entries postmarked after December 11, 2009 have no guarantee of being viewed.

PRIZES

	Target Filmmaker Award Awarded to a film in Narrative Feature Competition and a film in Documentary Competition. Each winning film will receive a $25,000 unrestricted cash prize.
	Grand Jury Prize - Texas | MPS Studios Texas Filmmaker Award Awarded to a film in the Texas Competition, as selected by the Texas Jury.  The winning film will receive an $10,000 unrestricted cash prize and $10,000 in goods and services.
	Grand Jury Prize - Animation | Presented by REEL FX Awarded to a film in the Animation Competition, as selected by REEL FX Entertainment.
	Grand Jury Prize - Short Awarded to a film in the Shorts Competition, as selected by the Shorts Jury.
	Grand Jury Prize - Student Awarded to a film in the Student Competition, as selected by the Student Jury.
	Audience Awards Narrative Feature, Documentary and Short Film

GENERAL RULES AND INFORMATION

• Features films must be a minimum running time of 60 minutes.
• Short films may have a maximum running time of 25 minutes.
  
• In order for feature films to be considered for the competition, we require at least a Dallas/Fort Worth Premiere.
• Films must not have had major theatrical release, US broadcast airing or DVD sales on the internet prior to the festival.
• DVDs will be accepted for preview screening.
• More than one entry may be submitted. Each entry must be accompanied by a separate entry form and entry fee through Withoutabox.com.
• If your film is selected, you will be asked to provide a digital press kit which includes: headshot and filmography of director, B&W and/or color stills from the film, press materials, video trailer (if available).
• Screeners will not be returned unless a prepaid return mailer is included with submission. Please do not send originals.
• All film entries selected for the Festival grant DALLAS Film Society the rights to use footage, stills, titles and information from the film for promotional purposes.
• All filmmakers will be notified by (approximately) March 8, 2010.
