First 15 Films announced for 2012 DIFF
We’ve announced our first 15 films for 2012 DIFF! Second Look: Shorts from the 2009 Fest
The third installment in our presentation of short films from previous festivals includes works we exhibited in 2009. Check out the intensity of an acting class, a chicken who has had enough, an amazing investigation of one architect’s work, and fragments of a conversation that tell the story of a relationship cut short.
European Art Cinema series at SMU
Son et Lumiere: European Art Cinema of the 20th Century: This screening series is presented on 16mm prints from Southern Methodist University’s G. William Jones Film and Video archive and celebrates the films and auteurs of European art cinema in the 20th century.
Free screening of KISS ME DEADLY
On Feb. 9 we present a free screening of the Mike Hammer classic KISS ME DEADLY, as part of the Chris Vognar’s Screening Room presented by Stella Artois series.
Free passes to THE WOMAN IN BLACK
Happy Friday! We have passes to THE WOMAN IN BLACK, the spooky thriller starring Daniel Radcliffe. This advance screening is set for Tuesday, January 31 at 7pm at Cinemark West Plano.

DFS Members screening of HAYWIRE
Dallas Film Society members are invited to attend an advance screening of Steven Soderbergh’s HAYWIRE on January 16th at Angelika Dallas. Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas and Bill Paxton co-star in this fast-paced action-thriller.

The Dallas Film Society programming team is up to their eyeballs in submissions for the 2012 Festival. But we’ve managed to wrangle from them the 2012 films they can’t wait to see in theaters.
Free screeing of PICKUP ON SOUTH STREET
On Jan. 12, we present a free screening of writer-director Samuel Fuller’s PICKUP ON SOUTH STREET. It’s the third film in the Chris Vognar’s Screening Room presented by Stella Artois series that focuses on film noir.
