RISD 48-Hour High School Film Race

Festival Chief of Staff Amy Fitzgerald had the pleasure of representing DIFF as a judge for the RISD High School Film Race showcase, held January 24 at Lake Highlands High School.

Amy, along with Niraj Bhatia of Om Films, and videographer Marcin Wawrzyczek, judged and gave feedback on the entries, which were shot by the students over 48 hours.

“We were grateful for the time and insights from our judges, who provided invaluable feedback to our young aspiring filmmakers,” said film educator Jennifer Hague, who headed the project and the event.

“The judges were able to witness the creativity, dedication, and storytelling talents of what these AV high school students can do in a 48-hour time span! The feedback from Amy, Niraj and Marcin will be extremely important in their filmmaking journey. We appreciate their commitment to supporting our budding filmmakers and fostering a love for cinematic storytelling.”
